Your [first] post is due on [day of week] by [time] CST. Your responses to other students are due on [day of week] by [time] CST. [Adjust for number of posts. To be updated by instructor.]

Your responses including responses to other students' posts should be at least a paragraph or 150 words long. Respond to 2 peers posts with a substantial and meaningful response. A simple “I agree” or “Yes” or “LOL” will not count. Please think about the questions and your peers' responses and reply thoughtfully and courteously, according to netiquette rules. Use good English grammar, correct punctuation, and complete sentences.

Discussion Question:

Many of us have written research papers in the past that have involved choosing a topic then beginning our research.  When we create speeches, we don’t want to overwhelm the audience with research, but we do need to support our ideas with research.  What approach do you plan on taking when researching your speech?  Provide some tips to help us think about research from a speech perspective where we can only share a certain amount of information based on the time limits.
