• Know the process of audience analysis.
• Analyze the speaking situation and adhere to established time requirements.

Discussion Question:

Many of us have experienced or given special occasion speeches.  Think about a speech you might have witnessed or view a ceremonial speech on YouTube.  Provide information on what you think is important in a special occasion speech in terms of word usage and body language.  From the examples you have witnessed, how did that go well, or possibly need improving?
